ATMIYA University is established on April 13, 2018, under the Gujarat Private University Act 11, 2018, ATMIYA University emphasizes to train young minds in consonance with the doctrines of higher education and human values.
The aim of this University is to spread eternal happiness and to create a happy society in letter and spirit. The motto “सुह्रदं सर्व भूतानम्” (Suhardam Sarva Bhootanam) is an expression of willingness to attain harmony with each creation of the Almighty!
The Atmiya University has constituted Admission Core Committee to regulate, frame and execute the admission process of candidates to various academic programs at various levels as per the University norms. Under the core committee there are three sub committees to carry out the Admission process in a fare and transparent manner as well as to support prospective candidates in making right career choice through counseling and guidance.
Admission to professional programs namely Engineering (Diploma, UG including lateral entry and PG), MBA, MCA and Pharmacy (UG including lateral entry and PG) at the University are done as per the guidelines of respective Central Admission Committee (ACPC &; ACPDC) constituted by Govt. of Gujarat. As per the provision in the guidelines the seats under management quota are filled on the basis of inter-se merit list of the prospective students.
Admission to UG, PG, Integrated and Research programs other than mentioned above namely Science Commerce Management Humanities and Social Science, PG Diploma (DMLT) and Ph.D. are done through admission process defined as per the Atmiya University norms.

4. Admission Schedule
The Admission Core Committee announce the admission schedule soon after declaration of 10, +2 and UG program results i.e. either on same day or next day of said result declaration.
The announcement of admission schedule is made through internal circular, digital platform (social media and University website) as well as newspaper advertisement.
The three sub committees collectively setup the admission cell based on the directions given by the core committee. It includes setup of counseling cell, digital process & verification and collection of required documents and payment of fees based on the respective rules and regulations of the University.
Professional programs at the University namely Engineering (Diploma, UG including lateral entry and PG), MBA, MCA and Pharmacy (UG including lateral entry and PG) where the admission is through Central Admission Committee formed by Govt. of Gujarat, the admission process as prescribed by respective committee is followed.
For program other than professional programs as well as seats under Management and vacant quota in professional programs following admission process if followed.
Step 1: Information document containing details like available seats, fees, eligibility criteria, admission process schedule, etc. is published on University website and through other appropriate medium. Help desk as well as counseling center is made operational to guide and support students.
Step 2: Admission forms with supporting documents are accepted in online and offline mode for the period prescribed in admission schedule.
Application Form filling for all the programs is availed in the following two modes after the result declaration:
1. Digital (Offline) Mode: The candidate shall visit the admission cell to get the user ID and Password and then fill up his/her details in admission cell.
2. Online Mode: The candidate shall visit the website http://admission.atmiya.ac.in/ for filling up his/her details
Step 3:After the last date for submitting admission forms, received applications are reviewed for eligibility and other details. Based on the University norms merit list is prepared.
Step 4: First list of admission allotment is declared along with schedule for confirmation of admission.
Step 5: Candidate can confirm the admission after verification of original documents and payment of fees.
Step 6: After the last date of admission confirmation on basis of first list, depending on the number of seats vacant second list of admission allotment is declared. The same procedure is followed for the second and subsequent rounds.
For the purpose of admission to UG, PG, PG Diploma and Integrated programs the candidates have pass the qualifying examination in the respective subjects prescribed by Atmiya University from time to time from any recognized Board / University (Refer Table-1).
The candidate who have passed the qualifying examination from other than Gujarat Board / Central Board / Other Universities shall be require to obtain provisional eligibility certificate from the University.
The Equivalence Board of the University will finalize the admission in lateral / horizontal / transfer entry.

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master&s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade &B in the UGC 7-point scale (or an 50% of marks or above for those who got Master&s degree prior to 19-9-1991 Research Fellows of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) / Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) / Researchers, Scientists and JRF/SRF/Project Fellows etc., working in research projects funded by external agencies such as DST / CSIR / UGC / GSBTM and similar national and state level organizations and executed by this University / recognized research centers of the colleges affiliated to this University and Regional and National Institutions / Laboratories dedicated to Science and Technology development are also eligible to register for Ph.D. under Full-time Research. |
University follows seats reservation policy for different category as well as provisions for supernumerary seats as per Government guidelines and University norms.
For the purpose of admission, the seats shall be reserved for the candidates who are of Gujarat origin and falling under the following categories and in following proportion, namely-
Scheduled Castes: (SC) 7 %
Scheduled Tribes: (ST) 15%
Socially and Educationally Backward Classes: (SEBC) 27%
A Candidate seeking admission on reserved seat shall be required to produce a Certificate of Caste; provided that the candidate belonging to socially and educationally backward classes shall Atmiya University, Rajkot - Admission Procedure Manual
be required to produce a valid certificate to the effect of non-inclusion in Creamy Layer in addition to the caste certificate.
No caste certificate shall be valid unless it is duly stamped, signed and issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat.

A candidate belonging into the General category can claim reservation under Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota provided that he/ she is classified under EWS, satisfying the eligibility criteria set by The Government of Gujarat. Candidate claiming admission under EWS quota shall have to produce a valid certificate, indicating that the candidate belongs into the EWS category, issued by the authority empowered by The Government of Gujarat.
If a candidate fails to submit the certificates as required within the stipulated time, his/her candidature shall be considered for admission under unreserved category.
If a candidate of reserved category gets admission on unreserved seat in order of merit, he/she may be given admission on the unreserved seat according to his/her preference and merit.
The admission of a candidate of a reserved category on a reserved seat shall be valid subject to the verification of certificate(s) issued by the authority empowered by the State Government in this behalf. In case the certificate(s) is found invalid on verification, he/she shall not have right to claim his/her admission on reserved seat and if he/she has already been granted admission, such admission shall be cancelled. Admission of such candidate may be continued in case of availability of vacant unreserved seats, subject to the condition and eligibility of merit.
After granting admission to all the candidates of reserved categories on respective reserved seats, the vacant reserved category seats of Scheduled Caste (SC) (if any) shall be transferred to the seats of Scheduled Tribes (ST) and similarly, the vacant reserved category seats of Scheduled Tribe (ST) shall be transferred to the seats of Scheduled Caste (SC) by the Admission Committee after having obtained sanction from the competent authority of the University.
After granting admission to all the candidates of reserved categories (as per merit and eligibility) on respective reserved seats, the reserved category seats remaining vacant shall be transferred to the unreserved category seats.
Five percent (5%) of the available seats in each category shall be reserved, in accordance with the provisions of the Section 32 of “THE RIGHT OF PERSONS DISABILITIES ACT 2016” (49 of 2016) for the persons with bench mark disability who can perform the academic activities in respective program.
A candidate with disability shall have to submit certificate of disability issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon or issued by the authority empowered by The Government of Gujarat only.
Explanation: “person with disability” means a person suffering from not less than forty per cent of any permanent disability as certified by a competent medical authority (Civil Surgeon issued by the authority empowered by The Government of Gujarat only).
There shall not be any reservation for the Children of Defense personnel and Ex- Servicemen.
However, children of the martyrs of the Armed forces of state/ central government shall be given admission on the supernumerary seats in the respective courses and University will not charge any tuition fees from such candidate. This benefit will be given to the eligible candidate one time only.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% supernumerary seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates. Candidate seeking admission in this category shall have to produce Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate, issued by the authority empowered by the Gujarat State Government.
Sports/ NSS/ NCC/ cultural quota 2% supernumerary seats are reserved for sports/ NSS/ NCC/ cultural quota in each course. Candidate seeking admission under this quota shall have to register online/offline. The criteria and verification will be done by competent committee constituted by Atmiya University.
There will be separate supernumerary seats for the Children of the martyrs of the Armed forces of state/central government. Admission under “Prime Minister&;s Special Scholarship Scheme - J &; K Students &; Single Girl Child” will be treated as supernumerary seats.
The candidate seeking admission under this quota shall have to register online/offline and produce necessary documents / certificates issued by the competent authority.
Such supernumerary seats if remain vacant, shall not be filled with any other category.
Admission to the supernumerary seat shall subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria of open category seats of all India seats.
In case of change in marks of candidate in the qualifying examination, such candidates shall produce a letter to that effect by the competent authority or corrected mark sheet issued before the admission committee within three days from the receipt of letter, or as the case may be, corrected mark sheet.
The candidate who was declared failed initially in the qualifying examination, but later on declared passed after rechecking of marks/supplementary examination, such candidate shall, notwithstanding any time limit prescribed, be allowed to apply for the admission, provided he/she produces a letter to the effect by the competent authority or the corrected mark sheet issued by the
competent authority, within three days of the receipt of letter, or as the case may be corrected mark sheet.
In above cases candidate shall be placed at and appropriate order/ be admitted as per the resolution of the core committee and availability of vacant seats within intake limit.
For the purpose of admission to the first semester of the program, available seats shall include all the sanctioned intake as per Table-2
A candidate who gets admission in any academic programs shall have to pay such case as may be determined by the Atmiya University. Fee for professional programs is as per the Fees Regulatory Committee of the State Government (Refer Table-2).
A candidate who gets admission through ACPC or ACPDC will be required to pay the fees as per the schedule of the said committee.
A candidate has to pay to total fee as prescribed herein at the time of offer of admission preferably through online mode as per the directions. No extension of time shall be granted for paying the fees.
Subsequently, fees are charged semester-wise, at the start of every semester. Failure to pay the fees shall be considered as non-acceptance of offer of the admission to academic program applied.
University supports students in processing documents for different types of scholarships through GOs, NGOs & Atmiya University.
1. No one can avail the benefit of two schemes from the University. Best of the two will be applicable
2. All the above schemes are at the discretion of honorable president.
3. Extended Relation based Fees waiver is also applicable to children of employees working under AGI.
During verification of documents or subsequently at any point of time, if the University/ ACPC / ACPDC / Help Center finds that any certificate or testimonial or information submitted by any candidate is incorrect or false or irrelevant/non-compliant to the requirement, the admission of such candidate shall be cancelled and he shall be disqualified for admission for the period of next two years at the University.
All the fees paid by such candidates will be forfeited, and only the deposit may be refunded.
The admitted students can cancel their admission through prescribed process before the given date as per the schedule of central admission committee and/or University. As per the rule, University refunds the fees.
In case of cancellation of admission or transfer of candidate by the Admission Committee, due to administrative reasons, the university department in which the candidate was granted admission shall refund the fee collected by it, to such candidate.
In case of cancellation of admission due to failure of candidate to get himself reported at the university department within the specified time limit prescribed such candidate shall be refunded as per Atmiya University norms.
A candidate who has been offered admission and is keen to avail the Hostel and Mess Facilities should report at Hostel Desk / Mess Desk on the campus.
Ragging is completely banned in Atmiya University. As directed by the UGC also under the instructions of the Supreme Court, students are prohibited from indulging into any kind of ragging inside and outside the University campus. The Anti-Ragging Committee of the University is authorized to take very strict actions against the students indulging into Ragging; including expulsion from the University. The students shall have to submit an undertaking in the prescribed Performa along with the signature of their parent/guardian to the effect that they are aware of the severity of the offences related to the Ragging students are advised to see https://antiragging.in for latest provisions of it.
The University will announce the admission process schedule to offer admissions on merit and seats available.
All communications by the University for the Admission Process will be made through the website www.atmiyauni.ac.in Candidates are advised to go through the University’s website on regular basis for admission updates. The University will not be responsible for non-receipt of any communication, if any made additionally through Email/SMS. No individual communication will be entertained.
